So, since we're about a month into the new television season, I thought we could have one thread discussing some of the new shows people have been enjoying. As of now, I've only tried three really. Reaper, Chuck and Dirty Sexy Money. I loved the premiere of the latter, but my stupid tivo missed the last two for some reason, so I doubt I'll even try to find those episodes online. If anyone's been watching, do you think I can watch tonight and have somewhat of an idea what's going on? Peter Krause's one of my favorite television actors so I'd really like to continue watching. Reaper and Chuck are actually very similar. Witty comedies surrounding two lovable losers who are thrown into extreme situations beyond their control. Both have hysterical sidekicks (moreso in Reaper) and the characters who are influencing the main stars are awesome. Ray Wise has been great as the Devil in Reaper. Adam Baldwin is badass in Chuck, but the best part of that show has to be Yvonne Strahovski. She's seriously close to replacing Kate Winslet on RM95's Top Five List. In case you care, Kate Winslet's is closing in on her 10th anniversary atop the list. I have Pushing Daisies on my list, but I only made it through about 10 minutes of the first one before I dozed off...not because of the show, but because of the hour I started it. So, I know some people are watching Caveman here. What other new shows are y'all watching?
I'm watching Chuck, Journeyman, and Pushing Daisies. I caught part of the first ep of Reaper but I don't really know when it's on so I haven't watched anymore. I've given Bionic Woman a shot but I think I'm probably going to stop.
No new shows for me to like... I'm sticking to my Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives & Brothers & Sisters.
Californication, on HBO. Best new show of the year. If anyone hasn't seen it, SEE IT! If you have HBO On Demand, you can watch all the episodes, from the beginning, a very good idea.
I'm kinda bummed I stopped watching Desperate Housewives. The season finale last year was pretty shocking. Was it what it looked like or did they bring her back?
If people try to find it on HBO On Demand, they're going to get frustrated. I've seen a few episodes. Not bad.
You know they were NOT going to kill her off...it was actually going to be an accidental suicide and it turned out to be one until Carlos got to her in time. She's blackmailing him into marrying her because she knows about his offshore accounts. HA TYPICAL EDIE! Now, he is trying to get rid of her because he and Gaby are back together even though she married that mayor. I don't have a life, well only on Sundays. =)
this is my list, too. though i've tivo'd a couple of the moonlight episodes and watched them later...it is one I'll probably keep watching, too.
I'm surprised neither of these have been mentioned, but Rules of Engagement, and Big Shots are two of the best new shows I've seen come out in a long time. The writing is damn good on both shows. "Rules" is one of the few shows I've watched where I've laughed out loud by myselk while watching.
i love chuck i think its a great show, i want to see pushing daisies ive heard alot of good from that show
Or if you have an internet connection you can watch all the eps from the beginning. New shows I have been watching are Journeyman and Life
I am *LOVING* "The Big Bang Theory". Only 4 episodes so far, and it's my favorite show on TV right now. "Kitchen Nightmares" on Fox is pretty good too. It's been a bit inconsistent, and Fox edits everything in this incredibly annoying, overly-dramatic way . . . just like they do with everything else.
