The Hollywood Reporter reports that FOX and Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment are working on a variation on the "American Idol: The Search for a Superstar" theme revolving around former pop stars and one-hit wonders looking to resuscitate their careers. Dubbed "Second Chance,"

"The music industry is a very tough business. The talent gets chewed up and spit out very quickly. Why not give them a second chance?"

FOX won't formally commit to the show until it has lined up the appropriate talent. Darnell emphasized that no formal overtures have been made, but the show is likely to target faded stars along the lines of such 1980s teen phenoms as Tiffany and Debbie Gibson.

So, my question ... who would you like to see on this show? Just one hit wonder phenoms, or artists who just ended up fading out but had a lot of promise?

    I'd like to see:
    Vanilla Ice
Color Me Badd ... I still love that song 'I wanna sex you up'!
    Tag Team
    Haddaway
    Jesus Jones
    EMF
Soft Cell ... I LOVE 'TAINTED LOVE'

I'd check it out, but I don't think a star would subject themself to this show. I doubt they'd have anything to gain. Someone like Debbie gibson or Tiffany could get a second shot if they really wanted it. They would need a good song. But they could get a second shot with some patience. Their names are still very recognizeable.

I agree, I can't stand em either, but this one would be kinda cool cuz we'd get to see artists that we've probably enjoyed before.

i wouldn't mind seeing Kriss Kross again.

i'd love to see them in backwards clothing now. They're probably, what, 20?

Color Me Badd is a great choice too. I still listen to that CD from time to time! :D

Jesus Jones - they sang "Right Here, Right Now" didn't they? That was a sweet song.

What about P.M. Dawn ???? I have been listening to them a lot lately.
