I'm spending a day (about 12 hours, 7 to 7) in New Orleans tomorrow. I'm hoping that the business portion of my day will end around 3PM-ish so that I can go to one of NO's casinos. I'll be on the west side of the city, not far from the airport. Any suggestions as which one to check out?

New Orleans has casinos? I thought all the casinos were outside New Orleans. If it does have casinos why isn't New Orleans a much bigger city than it already is?

The only decent casino is Harrah's. It's actually a pretty nice place, in the middle of downtown.

Hate to tell you, but if you're at the airport, you're gonna have a hard time getting all the way down to the quarter (Harrah's is on the edge) and back for a seven o'clock flight. You can do it of course, but you won't have a whole heck of a lot of time.

If you are at the airport (in Kenner) you are only about 4 miles from the Treasure Chest Casino. (on Lake Ponchatrain, at the end of Williams Blvd. in Kenner)
