So now that the Hornets are gonna move to New Orleans does this mean now they will be in the Western conference? And what impact will this have on the rest of the league as far as alignment.
Then one of the Western Conference team has got to go to the east.. Who, maybe Minesota, or Memphis...
the east has had one more team than the west for many years. maybe they'll decide it's the west's turn to have the extra team?
They would be still east of the Mississippi River, where all of the east teams are. So I think they will still be in the east.
Now New Orlean fans get to live with a cheapskate owner unable to keep or attract upper tier talent. Fans supported the helll out of that team until it became apparent the owner was never going to attempt to build a winner. Cya Shinn, and don't let the door hit you on the way out
the Hornets aren't going anywhere...the league will not approve the move and the league will banish Shinn & Wooldridge to another year in Charlotte and losing another 10 million next year will force Shinn/Woodridge to sell the team and then Charlotte will win again in Carolina.
Not really that many years - only 10 or so. Orlando was in the Western Conference until they moved them to the Atlantic, ending either the equality of the conferences or giving the East the advantage. In any case, I doubt a conference change is in order.
The New Orleans Booze It addition to fitting right in with Bourbon street, it is a great name because you would never know if they were cheering or jeering the home team.
You win the million dollar prize! I'm actually going to see the New Orleans VooDoo tonight play in "the Graveyard". I think Houston should get a new AFL team soon.
