...anybody see the new Ninja Turtles cartoon on Saturday? Being in junior high during the first Ninja Turtles craze, I was pretty interested to see this new incarnation. Overall, I thought it was pretty good. It was a lot darker than the original cartoon, resembling the comic book. The artwork was clean, and the stories will be longer and more involved, rather than each episode being stand alone. The only downside was that the opening theme song was kind of lame. Other than that, it was a solid show. I just might have to start waking up before 10:00 am on Saturdays now....
I loved the Ninja turtles back in the day! but last time I saw the ninja turtles it was crap and they had a pink turtle!
Ahhhhhh yea, love dat Vanilla Ice Loved the Turtles as a kid, what time does it come on, on saturday mornings? and what channel?
I was interested in watching it too, but I stayed up really late and only woke up to catch the end of the first episode, needless to say, I was not really "awake" while I watched it. I have gone to Peter Laird's website to learn more about it and I am pretty interested. I remember as a kid wondering if I would still watch cartoons when I hit 20, well now I know. Anyways, through checking out Laird's site, I heard the new theme song and it really blows. I like that the new show goes back to the comic roots which makes for better stories and less chocolate chip and anchovy pizza jokes. Laird's site is pretty cool if you want to reminisce or feel nostalgic. I learned a lot of interesting things, like that John Woo (if you don't know, I feel sorry for you) wanted to do a movie based on the comics that would be very dark, that there was a possible CGI movie, and then a CGI show (they have clips) that all fell by the wayside.
