ZZ TOP, Mescalero. Does anyone here already have it and is it worth buying? Dwight Yoakum, Population Me, has gotten great reviews. Anyone heard it yet? Its only 37 minutes long! Feel free to ask and add as you wish in this thread. Its a rainy day here in S.A. and I need new music. Thanks, A concerned consumer
Nickelback, Fuel and Dave Matthews all have albums coming out next tuesday. I'm expecting all 3 to be good albums
ZZ Top - Mescalero I picked this up... if you liked their last few releases this one ranks right up with those. They have a couple of songs sung in spanish, but the rest is typical ZZ Top Texas/Blues Rock! If you're a fan, pick it up. Kings of Leon - Youth and Young Manhood Garage/Retro/70's Rock - these guys are The Strokes + The Allman Bros Band + Creedence Clearwater Revival combined. Frank Black & The Catholics - Show Me Your Tears Ex Pixies frontman/guitarist with his umpteenth solo album. This CD ranges from troubadour surf music meets rock and twangy guitar.
I was going to say that one. For a minute I thought I had. I haven't heard the whole thing yet, but what I've heard, I've loved.
I'm in the pressbox of the UGA/LSU game, so I'll make this quick: it is off the chain. Pick up it up immediately.
Next on my hitlist are Dido - Life for Rent Starsailor - Silence is Easy Athlete - Vehicles & Animals I'm also dying for new music!
Just ordered Obie Trice's Cheers and Outkast's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below off amazon. 27 bucks with free shipping.
Guster's "Keep It Together" is one of the best albums I've heard in years. Flat out GREAT. I doubt you're into bluegrass/jazz, but if anyone is interested, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones' "Little Worlds" is absolutely FABULOUS. Well worth every penny.
It's high-time for a walk on the real side, let's admit the bastards beat us ... I move to dissolve the corporation, in a pool of margaritas ...
