I remember when I went to school up at A&M, I would occasionally find a Dallas Morning News sports section and I hated it. Used to love the Chronicle's sports section. Now it just reminds me of the DMN. But what are you gonna do. As Mr. Meowgi said, I love reading the sports section while I'm eating lunch or dinner (neither of which I want to be forced to do infront of this damn computer).
I prefer the old way as well. The new Chronicle sports section looks exactly like the Dallas Morning News and the Atlanta Journal Constitution, and it is harder to read.
I like it. Only complaint is the big color picture with the skyline in the background of whatever columnist is on page 1. Looks goofy.
I'll get flamed for saying this, but I want Dale Robertson and Fran Blinebury to write more columns. John Lopez and the new guy aren't nearly as good.
Funny. I LOVE eating lunch and dinner in front of my computer at work or my laptop at home. I find it difficult to eat in front of the TV anymore, a staple of the first 20 years of my life.
Maybe I'm old-fashioned or just plane old (at 30) but I've got to read my sporst section while I'm eating.
Yeah, I didn't even realize it had changed until this thread. I've always liked the Chronicle's overall layout. When ever my family comes in from out of town, they always talk about how great our paper is compared to theirs. Of course, they're from Tulsa.
thanks The chronicle has had the same design forever, people are not going to like the new design simpley because it is different from what they were used to seeing everyday for years and years, thats only natural I haven't noticed anything glarring appaling about the new design yet, but I'm more concerned with content than design
