How's there not a thread on this? They're 0-14 and they're 3 more losses from tying the all time record for worst start. Blazers... Kings.... Lakers....Dallas are next 4.

Do you you guys think they will:

    A) Avoid the worst start by winning 1 of the next 3

    B) Tie the record for worst start

    C) Break the record for worst EVER

    I'm going with C.

Unless Sacramento loses half their team to injuries, the Nets will make 0-18 to break the record and Lawrence Frank will be fired as rumors suggest. I could see them going close to 1-25 or 2-25.

I don't understand why they are so bad. They have more talent than some teams.

Wasn't he hired to replace Byron Scott? Talk about coming full circle.

Harris is just working his way back - should be in full flight by the Kings game - the Kings are injury struck - I'm gonna say they end the streak in Sacto.

Devin Harris missed 10 straight games and Courtney Lee missed 7. Not that Yi is worth much, but he's missed the last 8 or 9 games.

CDR has been their leading scorer 6 times already. What does that tell you? If CDR is your best scorer, then your team is a train wreck.

When Harris and Lee get their legs back, the Nets won't be so pathetic, but they have gaping holes at SF & PF. If they add a certain guy next summer that plays both positions, watch out. Could be one of those "worst to first" scenarios. If the Nets play it right and hire a coach that LeBron likes, I think he might go there.

They shouldn't let Ryan Anderson go. That trade was so lopsided.

Yi and Lopez are the only players on the court care to play some defence at the beginning. Then Haris was out, Yi next and so forth.

And Coach Frank was too obsessed by his small ball game plans that gave him some sucesses in last season.

C for sure. They are a pathetic team overall, worse than the Knicks.

Do people still think that the Mavs got robbed by trading Devin Harris for Jason Kidd?

^It's not like they're losing because of him playing, I mean he's been out most of the losing streak. And he's coming back from injury. The rest of his team is awful too with the exception of Lopez (since Lee/Yi were out for injuries.

I still think the Mavs got robbed trading Harris for Kidd + tons of baggage which ended up costing Cuban millions. Hedge that off assuming Cuban is rich enough to ignore such matters, and just compare Harris and Kidd and I feel that if you judge them at the end of this year when Harris has had more time to play and put up numbers similar to what he had last year--there should be no question who the better player of the past two years has been. However good Dallas is now they still would have been better with Harris. Of all the teams in the league I think Phoenix and Dallas are likely to fall back to earth. Vets like Nash, Dirk, Marion, Kidd just weren't built to sustain this type of play over the long haul of a season. San Antonio will be rewarded for resting their stars this much by the time March rolls around.

Yes, they did get robbed. They didn't just send Harris, I believe the Mavs also sent a couple of picks in the deal. EVen if the Nets ended up with the worst record, Harris is still younger, cheaper, and a better defender than Kidd now. Its not like having Kidd there would change anything for them. Why, don't you agree?

Honestly unless the Knicks end up with a blockbuster trade I see Brooklyn as LBJ's next destination. He's not gonna stick with Cleveland, they had 7 seasons with him and they're still 99.99% LBJ dependent. Knicks would be nice, but they suck, and since the Jazz has their pick they're not improving anytime soon.

On the other hand the Nets will be in Brooklyn, have the Russian equivalent of Mark Cuban and a GM (Thorn) and coach (Frank-although he might get fired) who's already an upgrade over Brown and esp. Ferry. They have capspace, and incidentally have a good pg and decent C already. They probably don't have enough cap to sign two Max free agents, but if LBJ and Bosh/Wade are serious about winning they might talk about it and decide to both take less. Nets might feature a starting 5 of:

    Lopez
    Harris
    LBJ
    Wade
    lottery pick

    ^Now, that is scary lol.

To think Rafer was only months ago playing in the NBA finals.
