http://www.apple.com/ It's on the front page.. It really looks nice. I really like the features, anyone planning on buying it?
just a word of caution the controls for the shuffle are on the headphones now for this new model. so its proprietary headphones. if you want to use your own headphones you need to buy a 20 dollar adapter for the headphones. i think its supposed to be 79 for a 4gig? 99 (if you want to use a different head set and need to get the adapter) personally i never cared for shuffles though I know a lot of people who love them
It talks to you! ZOMG! *EDIT* : btw, I was hearing yesterday that it's either the size of or smaller than a AA battery.
the only thing i have beef with it, is the controls is on the headphone cord, which means you can't use your own headphones, other than that, i'd get one. EDIT: just saw Yoyo's post, $20 for an adapter, so $100 overall. bah, im still looking into getting a 8 gig 3rd gen Nano for about that same price
Everything that puts a little "i" in front of the word can blow me. It isn't "cute." It's downright annoying and played out. Seriously, different companies have been doing this for a decade now, and it needs to stop.
It looks like a USB thumb drive with a headphone slot and an annoying voice to boot. You can get far better MP3 players that actually have a screen for the same price. The 4GB sansa clip is the same price but has a screen and no annoying voice and complicated controls I honestly don't know how Apple does it, people are going to buy the new shuffle 5x as much as they buy the Sansa Clip
the monotone voice is going to get ooooooooooold reaaaaaaaal quick...... such as..... No Artist - Untitled Song
One of the ways Apple does it, is continue to make quality products. I tried the Sansa Clip that you show and it was difficult for me to work with to attain all its advertised functionality (in particular Audio books). The clip also felt incredibly cheap to me. Another way Apple does it, is the use of iTunes. It is incredibly easy to use Apple products and iTunes, but not so easy with other devices.
ehh the Sansa's are easy to deal with, just drag and drop files to the folder. My daughter has one and she hasnt had any problems with it...I personally stick with my old 8G 3rd Gen Nano.
Maybe I'm an MP3 player idiot, but I am willing to pay a little extra for the ease of use that Apple products often give. I won one of those Zune things last year, and while it's not rocket science, it's still more difficult to get content on it than on any of the iPods I have. That said, I'll probably skip the new Shuffle since I haven't yet used the last generation Shuffle I bought nearly two years ago.
