No bots still?? WTF Halo started out as one of the best games I have ever played in multiplayer, but Halo2 was a step back IMO and it sounds like H3 will be even another step back in terms of graphics.. I just dont get it..

I haven't been let down yet. Don't know how much I'll like the Mongoose though...unless it goes super fast, what'd be the point of using that over the warthog. Nail grenade seems pretty cool. Hopefully the Spiker is better than that piece of sh*t brute shot.
So they're keeping the function of the X button secret? Hmmm...combo melee perhaps? That would be two buttons for melee (assuming they keep a single melee attack button as well) but that would allow for some crazy close quarters combat. That would also keep people from blazing away with the SMG at point blank range. There should be some point where the other guy is so close you just try to bash his brains out rather than sit there shooting a gun like a moron.
Don't know if it's been mentioned here, but I heard it's confirmed that they're making a Halo RTS game.
Halo is the biggest overblown, over marketed, decent game in history. It is an average to above average game that is hyped to legendary proportions. DD

It definitely has gotten a lotta hype...but...it single handedly turned me back on to the FPS genre. No other game can come even close to it's multiplayer capabilities. I've even played Half Life 2...and while I absolutely fell in love with that game, there are still some things Halo does better.
GoW, by my understanding, will be more of a strategy based fps...so I don't see how you can compare the two.
hmm. Halo 2 is just an average game that got hyped to a much better game than it actually is. I didnt' even finish the game, and i got bored halfway through. Halo 1 is a different story. It definitely got what it takes to be considered "legendary." The story, the multiplayers. Yeah, it got hyped. but it's still a great game.
as a console FPS, halo has by far the best controls. the story is ok, and halo 2 was ultimately a let down, but the multiplayer experience of playing halo 1 with your buddies is one of the best i can remember. with those controls bungie would have to work real hard to make halo 3 a bad game.
Ditto, except I would add video gaming instead of FPS genre. Halo may not be as original as Beyond good and evil or Psychnauts, but it is just a fun game that has excellent replay value due to single, coop, and multiplayer modes.
It is a good game, but IMHO, it is overhyped. Halo is the X-box premier title, but FPS on a console can not compare to FPS on a PC........the control schemes are not as responsive. Now Halo 3, is going to be both X-box 360 and PC (Vista only) and you just watch how the PC players DOMINATE the console players.... BF1942 is not the same on console...any game that is on both console and PC in the FPS genre is just a much better experience on the PC. DD
