Every few weeks or rather lately its been every few days a few new folders will show up on My Favorites!!?? I delete them and they come back a few days later.

What the hell is that all about?

Its usually crap folders for free detergent or special offers or something.
Also, every once in a while something called "n-case" tries to download some damn shopping engine.

Is this some sort of spy ware?
I have i-mesh I use occassionally but thats about it?!

    Help?!

i had a 'friendly trojan' (yeah right) pop up window that would attempt to re-direct my browser which was due to i-mesh... i found out where the pop up window originated, did a google search for the website and found some sneaky spy-ware that ad-aware didn't catch... uninstalled it and deleted it from my registry and haven't had that problem since...

i know, not a favorites folder type thing, but along the same lines.

Try Adaware and/or Spybot. Both of them are free downloads.

Do you have Hotbar or BonziBuddy installed? Other intrusive software trying to install shortcuts and favorites without asking is anything from Microsoft and RealPlayer (surprise, they were started by former Microsoft execs).
