Well, Im still yet to get the computer I want, but Im thinking about this deal: http://h50025.www5.hp.com/hpcom/au_en/14_31_68_3830_PW582AA.html I dont need it for gaming, I just dont want to get another dud computer (My last computer was a Packard Bell which I probably paid for three time over in repairs). Anyway, any advice on this computer would be very usefull.
http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid...o/rpem/ccd/productDetailSpecification.do#tabs Last week this was 250 after rebate. The other one has more RAM, but the difference isn't more than 40 bucks. Both don't include monitors or a decent video card, but you should have a target of around 300 bucks for the system you posted.
I dont know what your budget is but the following is a must get: http://www.netaffilia.com/ad/electronics/frys/i/2005/06/24/11072.html Fry's Electronics is selling a Sony Vaio pc bundle for $999 Intel P4 HT 3.0 GHz 512 MB DDR PC3200 RAM 200 GB Hard Drive Double layer DVD +-RW drive DVD-ROM Drive PCI Express slot 17" LCD Canon Printer
Well, screw my idea then since I doubt they have Fry's in Australia Actually, I think Sony is having this sale Nationwide because I've seen ads for this same exact pc (same price) at other stores as well.
Christopher, I live in Australia as well. If I were you I would just get a Dell from dell.com.au . They are always having ridiculous specials, and if you are worried about getting a dud, buy the extended warranty, which will give you 3 years "in home" next business day service. They were recently offering a P4 2.8 HT, 120 Gig HD, 512m RAM, DVD Burner with 19" LCD monitor for ~$1100.
