If we continue to play.500 ball, when do you think a coaching change will happen?

Dwight likes him and Les doesn't hate him so he's not going anywhere but anything less than the second round and he won't be back. The reality is his role is not huge. He makes some dumb substitutions and we might have 2 more wins with another coach but the season is early and players have to adjust to Dwight and Dwight has to learn to play smarter with less turnovers. Plus everyone not named Lin needs to shoot better. Can't really blame the coach on that.

Les Alexander has never fired a coach before his contract expires, let alone in the middle of a season. This is true even when Rockets teams with good talent get off to slow starts (examples include 2004-05, 2007-08). I suspect that this will continue.

McHale is not going anywhere unless he resigns. Team needs to get over their current injuries, bad shooting from 3 pt line, and bad shooting FT's.

Morey once said he does not believe in changing head coaches mid-season as well.

So, ya... don't get your hopes up.

You know if you really think about it, even with Dwights awful free throw shooting included we would have a much better record so far if the team shot better from the arc. The total count for the team beyond the arc is 32% (78 out of 243 attempts). Below are the players shooting below 32%:

    Made/Attempts/Percentage
    PBev 7/28/.250
    Harden 16/58/.276
    Parsons 8/36/.222
    Brooks 2/8/.250

I know Dwights FT's would be a big difference but if you just assume the guy will never improve from the foul line, our shots beyond the arc dropping at least 30% would have made a difference. There are a ton of factors besides low 3pt shooting that account for our losses so far, but this is something that can be fixed a lot quicker. Ironically, they just have to keep shooting!
