I need to decide in the next few months where I want to live...I've narrowed my choices to 3 cities. I've visited all but have never lived in any of them. Give me your pros/cons of each: Washington DC (northern va area) Philadelphia or Chicago.
If you know any nice areas in those cities that would be a bonus!

btw, A vs P really sucked!

Is this part of some ultimatum or witness protection program or something? :) Why are you moving? Just for the hell of it? Out of the 3 you mentioned, I'd choose Chicago, but only because I'd never want to live in DC or Philly. But then I'd rather not live anywhere north of Dallas. :)

I'd pick Chicago. Had RM95's Fiancee not just started an amazing new job (bye bye Sprint...you blow), we'd be considering moving up there.

Can't go wrong with Philly or Chicago. I lived in Philly for a year and often visit Chicago. They're both great. If I had to choose one though it'd probably be Chicago.

    Chicago 1st, Philly 2nd, DC...faggedaboudit.

The DC area is great to live in if you are married and have kids. It sucks eggs if you are single.

    chicago versus philly:

chicago is the hub for the midwest... it's got everything.. BUT
philly is a smaller city bewteen bigger east coast cities. you'll get the city life, esp. if you live in the rittenhouse park area and you'll be close to new york, DC/maryland and a cheap flight away from Boston/Europe.

I lived in Chicago for 4 years and travel back there often as my wifes family lives there. It is cold as a witches titty. I personally didnt like Chicago because of how cold it is. There is a lot to do and all two weeks of summer are awesome. I'm just glad to be in the south again. What is your reason for moving? Have you ever considered Charlotte? We absolutely love it here.

I visited the Northern VA area like Stafford and Fredericksburg for awhile if that's the suburbs you're thining of, and they sucked ****. Boring as all hell... but that's from the perspective of a college aged male, not sure what you're lookin' for in a city. :)
