Is it time? Has Dallas finally taken the title? Mavericks fall in the biggest upset in the NBA...... Cowboys are in the record books, for being the FIRST #1 seed in the NFC to ever lose in their first post season game. (previously NFC was 17-0) Both #1's. Both gone fishing. EDIT: I previously wrote NFL, meant to say NFC.
I'll go ahead and save time by muttering "At least we MADE the playoffs" for any Dallas fan who might be tempted to. Feels good to be a Texans fan right now. Despite the futility this organization has shown, all we need to do is win a playoff game sometime in the next 6 years to outdo Dallas'es recent performance. Yes...yes...I know ya'll won some Super Bowls when Hector was a pup. (yawn)
Houston is Choke City. The only difference was we had balls, and heart to turn it around. Dallas just plain ol' sucks.
Don't forget F.C. Dallas; they had a 2-0 aggregate lead over the Dynamo before we came back to beat them 4-2
Fixed it. Yep, Houston fans have heart. Dallas fans have none. Dallas: Home of the Fair Weathered fans year after year!
Dallas might be #1, but they've got some competition. Seattle: Never met a choking moment that didn't like.... 1994: Supersonics, First #1 seed (63 win team) in NBA history to lose to #8 seed after being up 2-0 in a 5 game series. And notorious for not being able to hold on to their superstars, Johnson, Chambers, Kemp, Allen, Ellis, McDaniel, and etc. 2001: A record-breaking 116 game winner Seattle Mariners fall to New York Yankees. Notorious for not being able to hold on to superstars and overpaying one year wonders. 1979: They won a championship, but it was against the Bullets....the Bullets (the modern Wizards), nuff said. 2006: Missed golden opportunity to win Super Bowl 40. Phoenix THe Arizona Cardinals....those mere words already brings the team to unbelievable choking proportions, they choke and suck so bad, that they can't even breath near the playoffs. Phoenix Suns......Last year, 2006, 2005, 1996, 1995, 1994, 1993, and 1976.Fielded an exciting offense, high scoring with great regular season record in every decade, but can't win any titles. the team that was so close, but couldn't get it done. Arizona Diamondbacks...sort of disapproved, beating the Yankees, but after the last few seasons, everybody beats the Yankees. Last, but not least, my hometown)....................... Atlanta The Braves: Unheraled 14 straight years as a divisional champion. 1-4 in the World Series. One single championship in 14 years. Several years with the best NL record, only to fall to a wild card team or an inferior road team. Hawks: Closest they ever got to a championship was an almost game 7 upset of Boston Celtics in Eastern Conference Semifinals 1988. Falcons: Super Bowl blowout to Denver (defending Super Bowl champions and previous chokers), 9-7 playoff team one year (next year June Jones and Jeff George fiasco), years of futility, Petrino fiasco, Vick fiasco, traded away the immortal Brett Favre, Vick for Brees/LT (some say it was lopsided trade)
