    yep. it's tapered back off...but within the hour the story broke, the market took a sharp upward turn.

    it was a small uptick in the market. in our trading room, we barely noticed its effect.

    i just saw it on a graph. i'm not in a trading room, so i'll defer to you. looked like a sharp upturn to me immediately upon hearing the news.

    If Osama looks the same as he did 3 years ago when the tapes immediately after 9/11 came out, then we will know that he is either (A) dead or (B) in serious condition.

    Osama depends on dialysis to live. It's hard to go through dialysis when you are living in a cave.

    In the past, the administration has argued that they don't want to release these tapes with C.Rice saying AQ could be putting hidden messages in them, but now, 4 days before the election, every tape coming down the pipe is released without a peep from the WH?

    Makes perfect sense. The market knows that Bush will be helped by this tape, and the market will respond favorably to a Bush re-election.
