New BB Code proposal: [NSFW] tag

    Lately, I've been noticing that many of us are using the
    tag for posts that contain NSFW stuff.

    Case in point is the [thread=136891]Lucy Pinder (we'd all motorboat) thread[/thread] in the Hangout, where many of us are posting NSFW of this awesomely beautiful specimen of a human.

    I know it's not absolutely necessary, but if there were a difference between the "SPOILER" (which was originally created for MOVIE SPOILER WARNINGS) tag and the "NSFW" (Not Safe For Work, gory, pr0n-like material, explicit language, stuff you wouldn't show your boss, photos of recently-retired Jazzholes who played Power Forward or Point Guards, etc.), it would make it easy for everyone to distinguish.

    It could be something like:

    "DUDE. This is one hot chick right here! [nsfw] photo of your mom [/img] "
    or
    "I just found this here new hottie on the Interwebs! Check her out! [nsfw] URL to a not-even-legal high school athlete chick photo [/nsfw]"

    Just a suggestion. :eek: I welcome your rebuttals.

    I like it. Since I spend literally every single minute of my 9 hour work day porusing this site, it would help to keep me from getting fired for unknowingly opening up a picture of some nude chick while my boss is passing by my desk.

    I didn't even know about that motorboat thread. I thought it was actually about motorboats, so I didn't click on it. I was wondering why it was at 3 pages...

    This reminds me of the time when posting pictures in the Hangout was banned for a while because of all the Monica Bellucci pictures I posted up. Sorry guys

    Did you read the entire OP? I'll repeat it, just in case: That's what I meant... SPOILER means "movie secret revealed"... while "NSFW" means "don't click if you're in a public place".

    I think it may end up an enabler. People will post more risque stuff because of the NSFW-tag protection. Like handing out condoms at a junior high. I can see more issues coming up of people gonig too far and getting image-posting privileges revoked for everyone. Fortunately, this is a well-policed board, so maybe a harmonious understanding will be found.
