WOODS UP TO 250- He's soft... he's too thin... He doesn't rebound.... Those were the comments about Loren Woods not more than a month ago. Now scouts have gotten a look at the new improved Loren Woods, the one that's added almost 25 pounds of muscle, and is draining jumpers and hook shots like a seasoned pro. Rebounding? With his new size he is attacking the glass relentlessly. All of the knocks on the Zona' big man have been put to rest, and while the NBA GM's continue to evaluate "possibles", Loren has again proved to be a serious probable in the top 10.

Looks like the Cato of last year, beefing it up just to get the $$$$ while making promises of rebounding champion(hahahaha).
I just hope Woods can do much better than Cato.
CD may go for this guy if he is able to get rid of Cato.

And the sad thing is he is still the best center in the draft.

    Ever heard of Eddy Curry?

Cat-Personally, I'd try to put Curry at PF. His position could depend on how he measures up-under 6'9''=PF, 6'11''=C, 6'10''...pick em.
Since the guys are a little smaller, I think it'd allow him to dominate more than having to bang with Shaq and Deke. However, the lack of centers may force him to center.

The Cato comparisons are off base. Woods has offensive talent. Woods can hit a 15 foot jump shot, or face up, or post up. Cato can not do any of that.

You know who'd be awesome? Tractor Traylor.

The fatter a player you can get, the better I always say! Where's T-Bone btw? You know the Rockets would have been in the playoffs w/ that guy!!!

girl you looks good won't you mock that draft up?!

I read the other day that Eddy Curry measured in the 6-10 1/2 to 6-11 range so apparently the questions about 6-9 were off base. Thus, Curry should be able to play center in the NBA.

Also, Loren Woods is nothing like Cato. I wouldnt be shocked at all if he rises into the top 10 with this new weightlifting regiment as this segment from nbatalk indicates.

Maybe in a few years Curry will turn into the best center in the draft, maybe even the best player, but during the next couple of years Woods will definitely be better. Make that better than Brown, Chandler and Diop also. At least for the next couple of years.

I wouldn't necessarily fit a player into a position based on height. Keep in mind Zo isn't quite 6'10 (I think he is actually 6'9.5). Also keep in mind CB4 is 6'4.5 so he should have been a SG! [IMG]

I would love to get Woods.

He has some of the most potential in the draft, some of it might actually come out.
