Both of these artists have albums that drop today (Tuesday) and I'm hoping to go 2-for-2 with regards to quality. From what I've heard Snider's "The Excitement Plan" is top-notch, which is in line with pretty much anything else he's ever done (imo ), and I have no doubt this one'll be good too... On the flip side, I just know Mos's "The Ecstatic" is going to disappoint me even though it's getting generally positive reviews. Watched his performance on Letterman just an hour or so ago and it was exactly what I was afraid of...an interesting sound/concept that goes absolutely nowhere...and considering 9 of the 16 tracks are under 3 minutes (including a handful under 2 minutes), I think it's going to have more of a mixtape type of vibe. But hey, Best Buy's got it for $10, so I can't be too mad.
whoops, forgot to add that I'll post up my reviews later... (cause I'm sure you're all waiting with bated breath)
The full Mos Def album is on Amazon.com for download for $3.99. I bought it yesterday. Its good. http://www.amazon.com/The-Ecstatic/...f3_4?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1244560451&sr=103-4
