Like to share two interesting cultural pieces, one from the great Howard Beck, http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/01/s...cks-to-nets-defector.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 http://www.sbnation.com/longform/2012/11/1/3581560/brooklyn-nets-barclays-center While I think both teams will end up being a footnote in 2013, can't help but wonder what the rest of the world (ROW) think about the new Brooklin Nets and NY Knicks. (Uh, ROW means anyone who does not currently live in New York, sorry, Brooklin included). With the Nov 1st season opener "postponed" by Sandy, we won't know until later. But which team do you think is better on paper? Parallels between Lakers and Clippers from some years ago?
Beck tweet on knicks fan responses is interesting: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Two categories of Knicks fan reax to defector story: 1. "They weren't true Knick fans." 2. "I can't do it, but I totally understand."</p>— Howard Beck (@HowardBeckNYT) <a href="https://twitter.com/HowardBeckNYT/status/263833909291266049" data-datetime="2012-11-01T02:44:40+00:00">November 1, 2012</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Personally speaking,i would have a hard time supporting a former club rival team, but i understand those who did.
