Netflix gettin' serial, you guys. I was sick last week and watched the documentary on Ted Bundy entitled 'Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes', which I found to be pretty good, although I think the series could have been a little bit longer and fleshed out his prison stay. News broke today that Netflix has acquired the Zac Efron movie about Bundy as well. Netflix Nabbing Zac Efron Ted Bundy Drama 'Extremely Wicked' for $9M (Exclusive)
Watched the Netflix doc, and thought it was really well done. The first 2 episodes were brutal, killed me learning about Bundy, his thoughts, and how gruesome he was with no sense of empathy. Not to say the documentary got less gruesome, but you kinda got used to it at that point. I learned about the Zac Efron movie after I watched the documentary and I feel like this is totally wrong. A major motion picture starring an affluent actor, to sensasualize the murder spree and the mans thinking is kinda too far. This man should not be further recognized
I agree that glorifying serial killers is an issue in society, but it's a Pandora's box that has been opened. You could say the same thing about countless topics of American entertainment. There isn't much feel-good happy time stuff out there compared to violence. We love it as a species.
The documentary is very good. The movie should be similar but with drama and more abs- same director and Zac Efron.
