so I have my wheel of fortune audition today at 230pm pacific time. never did anything like this, i've sat in the crowd on price is right before but never was asked to c'mon on down. has anyone else auditioned for a game show, or maybe even wheel? does anyone know what sort of puzzles/tests you have to go through? i watched the show last night for the first time in probably a year and they had new gimmicks i was totally unaware of and I didnt do as well as I used to do, i probably should have watched more episodes or played a wheel video game to brush up. anyways any advice is appreciated and wish me luck!
Don't yell your letters at Pat, that pisses me off when the contestants do that. Good luck, let us know how it goes..

"alright alright, i'd like to solve it. ******S!" *blank stares*... "umm... it was ... naggers" "oh, yeah, yeah, of course, naggers" lmao
Good luck... One tip... Don't be that a-hole who buys vowels even though you know the letter is there.
Yeah i am afraid i'd pull a south park maybe not racist but you know like one that one family guy episode where they had a puzzle that said MY _AIRY _UNT i would say something that was NFSW. hopefully i make it if i do gonna rep with a Hakeem Jersey if they let me
That would be sweet. What are the tryouts like? Is it a written test or something? I know Jeopardy makes you take a written test and a personality test.
this is what the email that they sent me said: This is a group audition. Dress is casual. You'll play a series of simulated Wheel of Fortune games. You'll also take a five-minute written test based on the word puzzles that are used on the show. If you're selected at the end of that part of the audition, you'll be asked to remain and play a more intensive series of simulated games. You may be asked to stand in front of the group and talk about yourself. Depending upon how far you advance in the audition process, you may be there anywhere from 1 to 3 hours.
I think you should have a gimmick to differentiate yourself from the others. Like shout "Oh Yeaaa!" or "thats what I'm talking bout!" after every letter you get correct.
sorry i made the cut i will get a call back in a month for an audition. we played this group game where they woudl randomly call a person and you would call out letters and they had a person "spin" a fake wheel for you. catch was that if you got a letter and said you would spin again after like 3-4 correct letters the lady would purposefully place you on bankrupt or lose a turn so someone else had a chance. that was during after 1st cut so there was around 40 at that time. funny thing was when my name was finally called i had a fresh new puzzle and i got 3 letters in a row correct and "bought" 2 vowel and then solved the puzzle (it was presidential historian) i was the only one who started off with a new puzzle and solved it on his/her own. for my troubles i got a wheel of fortune hat. so i'll let y'all know when i get a call back for like the 2nd wave of auditions
no i figure the next audition if i make that cut is probably the one where i get to be on the show probably tell me then. there were about 80 people at the audition for my scheduled time about 10 of us made it, and from what lady there said they were doing auditions all day and doing them around the country so figure like if there are 100k auditioners they probably whittle that to 10k or lower and then whittle those further. but it was a mix there were people who were just at the end because they were pretty, others were "lively" others that did real well and 2 that were absolute idiots
