Mass Effect and KOTOR..
After playing KOTOR I and II a few years back, I really started to like this genre of video games. I really enjoyed the real time rpg style. The story itself was very good. Then, after just recently picking up mass effect (late, i know) I really started to get interested in video games again. Everything about the game was very well developed IMO. I think the things about these games that i've come to love are: the combat style, the animation (I don't like the look of fable), the setting, the story line. I like the sci-fi type of action/rpg games. Not to knock on Jrpg's or anything, but most of the time, I can't find myself playing through an entire game. Alot of Jrpg's are very good games, but it depends. In fact, I'll most definitely check out FF13 and most likely Star Ocean as well. To give you an idea, I also enjoyed Oblivion even though its not in the Sci-fi genre. So, responses don't have to be completely limited in that aspect.
So, any ideas as to what games i should try out... Anything interesting to look forward to in the future??
Right now, I can't wait for Too Human, along with the eventual releases of Mass Effect 2 and KOTOR III(whenever that happens...)
Do you have a PC? Not too many games like KOTOR or Mass Effect that I can think of off the top of my head (especially good ones), although a few that I can think of are on the PC (EX: Deus Ex...although it isn't exactly what you want). Either way, these games might be hard to find unfortunately. If you liked Oblivion, Fallout 3 with its more sci-fi setting should make you happy. You might already be looking forward to it though.
Yeah fallout 3, i was looking forward to that quite a bit!
I couldn't really find out many either... PC gaming isn't really my thing, because my gaming laptop has become a bit on the older side. Thanks for the suggestions anyways!
I'll definitely try Jade Empire though, i've heard good things about it...
