Could really help the Heat or quite a few teams, didn't realise he was available next season http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/14584064/postups-nene-impatient-with-nuggets-focus-on-melo Like Anthony, Nene has an early-termination option he can exercise after the season, and sources say he is upset with all the attention focused on Anthony's situation while his isn't being resolved. Nene, arguably Denver's second-best player, has made a list of three teams he's interested in signing with or being traded to -- and not surprisingly, one of them is Miami, where his fierce interior presence would be the missing piece for the Heat.
Well, Ricky Rubio, would be on a small contract ... However don't know how they can get Nene, unless his willing to sign a much smaller contract than what his market value is... But damn, Rubio/Wade/Lebron/Bosh/Nene would be sick!
Nene would be perfect in Miami. I think the seriousness of their team would make him play hard every game. Truly a scary thought. All the Heat would need then is a good, defending PG that could pressure the ball and make it difficult to get into the lane.
Where is Miami getting the money to sign these guys?? Unless Nene is willing to sign for the MLE, how would they afford him??
If he is willing to sign for the full MLE, Miami will take him. Miami can always cover gaps with draft/trade/vet/min/waived players etc if they need to, as most players would jump at a chance to play in Miami. Lebron Wade Miller and Bosh, will be around for the next 5 years, so it will be fun to see what pieces they can keep getting.
if nene goes to the heat, i am gonna quit watching the nba. whats the point in playing. I thought the fun in basketball is to see similar level teams battle it out. If that really happens and we see a line up of miller, wade, lbj, bosh, nene, they might as well put together paul, kobe, piece, Griffin and howard. then we can just have like 4 teams in the nba and battle it out for 6 months. Personally i felt its was kind of crap to have wade, lbj and bosh on the same team. This would just open the gates for more young and upcoming allstars to join together and we are just gonna have like 5-6 competitive teams in the league and a bunch of crappy teams. Whats the point in all that?
If this happens . .and a a Rubio signing or something I bet you . . the next CBA will squash all of it. They might look into changing it next Rocket River
Isn't this the case with the NBA for quite awhile, in any year you only have a handful of teams that can win. Miami has set it self up well, and will only get stronger, which I don't think people fully release yet, until next year, when players will be lining up to join them.
man im tired of everybody saying theyre going to miami!!!!!! cant these players just get some balls and try to become competitive!!! f-cuk!
Mainly about the Player Collusion that happened this past summer. It should have happened when Karl w**** Malone and Gary w**** Payton were scrounging to attach themselves with anyone for a ring. The Lebron/Wade/Bosh thing was the inevitable end for that path. If that is the new brand of basket ball . . . .I really want no part of it. The biggest thing I liked about basketball over baseball was you felt your team always had a shot . .. could not be out spent etc but If you going to make it so 'superfriends' teams can be made and maintained what's the point .. . for the Clevelands, New orleans, Clippers of the world You have to keep the parity . . . once parity is gone why watch? Rocket River
The difference is "hope". When your team has a chance to succeed, fans will always support the team. For example, Rockets fans currently have the "hope" that we can be a contender by trading for a top player, or by tanking. When you take away that hope, that's when fans will stop caring. It's like gamblers who'll gamble as long as they can win, even if the odds are against them. But if the slot machine or the card game is rigged so you can't win, no one will play.
There are rumblings that the recent rumored "migration" of certain players to certain teams in 2011 and 2012 has made the owners even more hard-line and may be increasing their determination to crush the union instead of compromising. That would be unfortunate. But revenue disparity is a major concern of the owners and the continued discussion of players migrating to a select few teams creates another issue to ponder: Competitive disparity. Up until recently, I was optimistic the NBA and the players union would reach an agreement before the season started. Now, I betcha we have a prolonged lockout and the entire season is in jeopardy.
