Francis is the team leader. But, If you are talking about veteran leadership, I agree. A guy like A. Davis, or one of my favorites, PJ Brown, could really improve our veteran core (with Rice). Those guys are hard-nosed, experienced players that could help us in the "toughness" category; rebounds and defense.
you are kidding, a player is going to retired soon,.. we need younger and better talented players. NOT ANTONIO DAVIS. let's get Elton Brand or guys like that. or Kevin Garnett when his contract is up in a year or two. we want championship,.. not just playoff.
If you want this level of play from the Rockets and you are happy about it,then get Davis. I detest the way the Rockets are playing[Street Ball] and the present coach [Larry Smith] that is fostering this type of Team. We need to upgrade to a player like Elton Brand that will give us qualityy in so many directions and will be able to play with Yao Ming for many years! If its Championships that we are after then Davis will not do!
ummm...Isnt the coach supposed to draw up plays and lead the team in the right direction? ie: time outs,substitutions,etc. If francis isnt the leader,then someone made a booboo signing him to a max contract.You dont sign players to max contracts that arent leaders. Unless you want to be like the knicks. Ah wait a minute....damn to late.
