So despite my intense feeling that our roster beyond Steve & Yao sucks ass - I've decided to renew my mini-game pack of tickets.

I know, I'm exactly what Les expects to happen - a fan who will fork over his cash for his beloved team despite the crap ass "product" they put out on the floor.

Anyway, It looks like I'm settling in on the $35 section(s).

    (Link Below)

Here's the issue: Should I sit even w/ the basket but upper level, or slightly behind the basket on the lower level.

Is there a virtual tour (the way the Texans did it) of the new stadium?

If it's anything like Staples Center sight lines, I think I'll go w/ lower level, slightly behind. What worries me though is that mid-upper seats cost the same as off-angle lower bowl seats...

    Help!

Id definitely go with the upper deck tickets with a center view of the court.

Sitting behind the basket is just a bad view, at least, in the Compaq Center it was.

The last few years, my season tickets have been lower bowl at one of the turns. Not bad, but next time, I am going up high and more towards the center.

    Thx for the responses guys.

I got tired of hiking my ass up to Row XXXXXXXXX in The Summit though.

I am still not cool or rich enough to be a lower bowl-er...

That's why we should get GROUP TICKETS!!! :) If we can get 250 people....we can save $21 on $46 seats! But there are no $46 seats.....they must be the $50 ones now.

I don't know if there are any miniplans for groups though...

    Too hard to organize...

Well it's good that you are going to support the Rockets! Are tickets on sale yet?

Tickets are on sale for those who had season ticket packages last year.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday.

That's why I'm gonna get a mini pack and add a Lakers/Mavs & maybe Cavs game to it before Friday.

Can season ticket holders buy individual game tickets? If so, is there a code to enter in ticketmaster?

no, actually all the $46 is now $35 in the new arean, but i don't know if the seats gonna be further from the way that was in compaq center.

I bought all 3 of my tickets last season at Yao Ming fan's club with group discount, which is really good deal. Wish that Clutch City can organize something like that.

There is no Ticketmaster special code & the early sale is only for last season ticket/mini pack owners.

hehe...I would go too! But I'm not sure if we can use Clutch City as our group name...unless someone "up above" allows us...but we could always make up some phony name like Moochie's Hoochies.....

13,398 members...There should be 250 active members who would be willing to go to the home opener!

So make it happen LegendZ! ;)

Just ordered (4) $60 seats. Now I'm trying to sell some of them.
Wish me luck; but these will be choice!

Heck no. I only went to 2 games last year total and gave the rest of them away to my or my wife's clients. It did make for a nice tax write off. Heh.

The commute from my house to Greenway was about 30 mins in traffic. Its pushing 45 to an hour with the new arena. Plus, with the bambino on the way, my money is reserved for other things (like a chopper ;) ).

HP was telling me he was hoping to go in on a package with a few people though. Haven't hear anything else about it from him.

The $46 seats last year are $40 to individual purchasing this year, but much higher. $35 is the season ticketholder price. So I imagine group discounts come down from $40, not $35.

Also, there are only 9 rows in the upper deck center, now, versus 18 or so before. Might be tough to do groups up there.

As far as view goes, I've toured Toyota Center. The upper deck is like Staples....it is worst case, and that was the opinion of everyone on the tour with me. Some were convinced after standing in the luxury boxes, that the first row of the lower box is about where upper deck first row was last year. I'd say the 1st row of the box is about 6' lower but further back. There is no overhang of the lower deck, yet the lower deck has more rows.

Versus upper still, the $35 behind the basket are still not an option, if you ask me. I just hate being behind the basket on the lower level. I think they are the worst seats for basketball, hence why they were the worst selling season tickets last year.

    codell,

details haven't been worked out, yet.
