So, the only activity that I have planned for my friend's bachelor party next Friday is the Rockets-Spurs game. I grew up in H-Town but live in Austin, so I'm not hip to the Houston scene these days. And, I'm not sure if the Vatican, Locals, MoonBeans, Rockefeller's, Aquarium Lounge and Cecil's are still around. (I know...I know...they're all long gone). So, I need your help. What I'm not looking for is a list of cheesy strip clubs. I'm looking for more interesting activities, e.g., dog fights, underground street boxing, secret casinos, sketchy Chinese karaoke rooms, cantinas, midget go-kart racing, etc....you get the idea. I want the most interesting (and, perhaps, scummy) activities that Houston has to offer. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Nope. Not a cop. If I was, I would probably have a wealth of information on these sorts of places. So, if there are any ClutchFans cops, please share. BTW...is there still a horseracing track in Houston? Worth going to?
Sam Houston Race Park on the Beltway in NW Houston. http://www.shrp.com/ There is a dog track on I45 south near Galveston...so those 2 places are more than an hour apart.
