go to their house or office, boot up their pc, and hit delete before they get a chance to read it.

Sorry if that is the obvious answer.

hehe I know a guy who has done something similar :)

They once sent an inadvertent email but because the company that ran the email server reset everyone's password to the same thing they were able to go in and remotely check the mail and delete it. UNless your sister is in that category then the email canot be unsent.

Just say it was an experiment as you are developing software that will recall messages once they've cleared your firewall! To test it in BETA form you wanted to send a silly/undesirable message so that you would KNOW if they actually got it, because they would say "what the he!! was that all about".

Come on Drewdog, run with this...

You can recall the message if they haven't read it yet, correct?

It will be in their inbox, but if they open up the recall message, it will be deleted before they can read it.

    That's actually pretty good!

I once sent an email to a coworker calling another coworker a jackass. I hit 'reply to all' instead of 'forward' and it went out to everyone on my floor including upper management....

    Story is.....

This chick I have been dating for about 2 months blew me off this weekend and didnt call after I was noticably pissed that she brought her ex to see Pat Green with us and didnt pay a damn bit of attention to me. Wouldnt you be pissed? I thought so. She never called the next day like she said she would, and then I got an email today explaining how they were kinda dating but just friends and all this other bullsh!t. I FWD the email to my sister to see what she thought. Instead of replying to me in outlook she replied to the girl an email message of what she thought I should write. Freaking great right? I dont really care that much because Im not really digging this girl anymore, but I at least wanted to save face by telling her I wanted to be friends with her. Now Im pretty much dead dont you think? I'll probably call her and fess up to everything. It will be interesting to see how she reacts. Im expecting a b****y response......

Nothing you can do about it Drew. I guess the girl's reaction will be based on what you said in your email to your sister, not so much on your sister's response. So, level with us - How bad was it?

At least you have a funny story to tell now.

    This needs to be emphasized.

At any rate, I don't know if it can be recalled if you're not sending the email via an Exchange server. Sorry I can't help :(

Bah, you wouldn't want to be friends with her anyways, if she's going to do you like that, man. Go out in a blaze of glory, tell her you wish you'd have sent her all the stuff in that email . . .

Man...that really sucks. All well, screw that chick (figuratively). She doesn't deserve you anyways if that ho does something like that you.

You should send another e-mail to your sister and have your sister do the same thing again. Now we just need to come up with something good for the next e-mail.

And do NOT, under NO circumstances, apologize for whatever you said in the previous e-mail or for the fact that you wrote to your sister or that your sister forwarded that. This girl is going to blame you like you did something wrong when it is really her who has been treating you like ****...don't give in.
