I have an old camcorder I want to transfer movies from to digital on my laptop. The Sony camcorder has 2 outlets for audio/video cables. The kit I bought for transferring to digital has a cable with red yellow and white cables to and from a digital converter box to the device. Since the camera only has 2 outputs how do I make this work?

    I appreciate any suggestions.

This would be much easier with pictures or model numbers, but my guess is the camcorder sound output has some proprietary cable to get sound out in stereo. Or maybe it records in mono. Yellow is traditionally video out/in.

You’ll only need two of the cables. Yellow is for the video and the other one is mono sound. White cable is mono. Don’t use the red cable.
