Need help with a spot for Mother's Day

    Can anyone give some suggestions or ideas for a nice place to have a bite on Mother's Day?

    I usually take my wife Downtown for something classy and romantic on other occastions, but with us having a kid she doesn't wanna be too far. I'm having trouble finding/thinking of places around the 290, 1960, 249 areas; which are all near Jones Rd. where I stay.

    Would anyone know of some elegant places around there, besides Olive Garden, TGIF's and Chillis... :p

    I stay in this area as well. Maybe you can take her to that Steakhouse off the Beltway and Fallbrook? Dont know the name though. It has a statue of Sam Houston (I think) outside.

    Backstreet Cafe off of Shepherd. It's downtown, but worth the trip.

    I know the place you're thinking of, its right next to Sam Houston Race Track, well sorta. The only problem with that place is that she's been there and she's black so when she went she got the feeling they were a little racist. So we don't want none of this....
