I was walking through the halls of my university today and I passed by the Psychology department. Some psychology undergrads were conducting some experiment and asked me to join in. They invited me to a small room and asked me to watch a video, then, left. This one: <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cciUXpITsu0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> In the middle of the video, a moderately hot chick comes in. I only looked at her the moment she came in, then, continued to watch the video but I did feel her go behind me - I just dunno if she sat or anything. A moment later, she drops this big stack of paperwork. I wanted to ask her if she needed help but I thought that it would be missing out on what they'll be asking me about the video. Chick fixed the mess then went out the room. The person who invited me went back inside the room and said, "Thank you. We were actually only testing whether or not you'd help her." So, uh, interpretation anyone?
I'm guessing they had two different women, one more attractive than the other, who came in and dropped stuff, probably to see which one males were more likely to help. Congratulations, you're not a pig, just kind of a dick
I think they were testing your focus versus your ethics versus your libido. If they did a bunch of different tests with different race girls and honk for Libya or honk for Darfur or honk for Appalachia videos maybe they'd have something.
I assume you're decent looking? Or have at least some luck with the ladies? Because attractive men know not to help or praise pretty women. That's the key to their heart. That is my interpretation. You passed.
My guess would be they were wondering if the video primed you into helping others. Also possible you were part of a larger study that had a few people in the room when she drops the papers... like distributed responsibility that tends to lead to inaction. I don't think much more work needs to be done to determine that most dudes will saw off a leg to help a hot chick complete a scavenger hunt.

^That's interesting. There were actually two videos - I noticed because she had them tabbed. She actually tried to show me the other video, first, which was UCLA girl before I told her I already saw it. On the other hand, she knocked that mess over before the video was finished. Was I supposed to be primed mid-way?
