There is 1 song in my collection of music called bendita tu luz that I always jam and was wondering if you can recommend some similar to the style of this song? I don't like the polka sounds of some of the other traditional song but this one is just perfect.
That's Mana and a lot of their songs have a very similar sound. In my opinion the best spanish (Mexican) rock band is Jaguares. I'm a big Heroes del Silencio fan, too.
I recommend Juan Gabriel - Tus Ojos Mexicanos and Luis Miguel - Palabra de Honor ah yes and Timbiriche - Llamaras those are the only spanish songs worth mentioning ever.
That particular son "Bendita tu luz" reminds of of Carlos Vives music. He's pretty good. Also, some Cafe Tacuba songs I like. I love Ranchera/Mariachi music as well. Although a totally different genre Pepe Aguilar was influenced a lot by Pink Floyd. Alejandro Fernandez music is pretty cool.
