Not of the hated Utah variety.

If anybody is familiar with Radiohead, I'm basically looking for stuff that sounds like "Life In a Glass House".

I wouldn't have started a new thread, but I have no idea where to look (yes, I've Googled).

    Thanks.

That's not really jazz. That sounds more like vocal standards (i.e. music from musicals in the middle part of the last century) - maybe traditional versions of Irving Berlin or Ira Gershwin might fit the bill.

Well...I mean of that general tone...dark and druggy. Any other suggestions?

Rockhead, I checked out that Rodeohead thing awhile ago. It's surprisingly tasty.

Honestly, I'd listen to composers like Irving Berlin and George and/or Ira Gershwin. A good example would be Summertime by George Gershwin. It was written for the musical Porgy and Bess and has a very funeral dirge/Negro spiritual feel to it, which is the same basic vibe as the Radiohead song.

There have been a lot of versions of songs like that done, but you really need to look for the most traditional vocal versions. The closer you get to bop or swing music, the more it is probably going to be outside of what you want.
