Greetings fellow Clutch fans. While driving my car, my gas pedal randomly gives out and doesnt work, engine is still on and makes a really loud buzzing sound. I would have to shut down my engine and start my car again and everything works fine again. This just started happening this week and a total of 3 times already. Any idea what the problem can be? I've researched online and some of the post I read insisted that the Ignition switch needs to be replace. Any help would be appreciated.
Take it to a mechanic ASAP. Just out of being curious, when while you are driving does the gas pedal not work? Power steering, transmission, brakes and everything else work fine? Have you looked at the accelerator cables? Make, Model?
While I'm driving the gas pedal works, then out of no where, it just gives out then I have pull over to shut the car down and start it back up. Honda Accord 2002

not sure if this is the problem, but i know those Honda Accords have a long track record of transmission problems.
