Hi, doing a presentation on entering NBA draft early for speech class. Need articles that give benefits to it. Can't really find articles on google.

I don't think you're going to get an article that itemizes that. You're going to have to get salary information and make your own case.

That is what I am probably going to have to do. I was hoping someone would have written an article about that.

honestly i think brewer will have the best impact in the future on some team but if i were to say next year call me crazy but i would say lee humphrey that boy can shoot threes like a fellow rocket that comes to mind......novak.....but humphrey is abit more athletic than novak and i would pro bsay more than reddick.....this guy has intergalactic range on his 3pt shot and he could be a potential kapono type player

The benefit is if you are in good academic standing you can always go back to school and get the degree. And you also get more than enough contract money to pay for college. So who needs the scholarship. Same with high schoolers leaving early. They could play in Europe, Asia, the NBA, whatever, and it all leads to plenty of money for college. Whatever....

Kevin Durrant sure made him self alot more money with his year in college. Not that this helps you. (Although it is good to point counter arguments)

There are articles that state that Joakim Noah was likely a top 2 pick last year.

    one such mention: http://www.bullz-eye.com/sports/athletes/joakim_noah.htm

His game didn't improve, this is a deeper class, and now he's projected to go in the 5-10 range this year.

You can look at the difference in salaries on the rookie pay scale and argue that Noah cost himself millions by delaying entry.

For example, there's over a 10 million dollar difference between pay for the #2 pick and the #7 pick last year, using hoopshype salaries and including all options:

    #2 pick Aldridge: 5 yrs, 26.4 million
    #7 pick Foye: 5 yrs., 16.3 million
