My car has almost 200k miles on it, has a check engine light on and a 1 month expired inspection sticker and I have insurance. It's going to cost ~3k to fix it to pass inspection. The car is definitely not worth getting fixed for 3k and I don't want to get a "new" car until next year. I understand the risk of getting tickets for an expired inspection sticker. Here's the question:

If I got into an accident, my fault or otherwise, would the damaged cars be covered since I technically shouldn't be driving because of the expired inspection sticker?

Yes, you would still have coverage.

There are other ways to get stickers my man. Go to one of those corner store/ inspection places, offer the guy about 150 and it should get done..... Not saying you should, or that it's legal. Say no to drugs.
