Well, as I said in my previous post.. I'm making a movie for spanish class and now, I need some help for music to close it out. Basically, the movie ends showing the chaotic aftermath of.. a.. weird.. story. You know, a sad scene (or at least, that's what we're going for) cutting between scenes like the main characters getting beat up or thrown in jail by the police, injured people scattered all over the place.. and.. more.. stuff like that.

I've already got a couple ideas, but more couldn't help. A sad, slow song (piano would be nice but not necessary), and no, vocals don't need to be in spanish.

    What I have so far:
    Gary Jules - Mad World
Nine Inch Nails - Leaving Hope
Nine Inch Nails - Something I Can Never Have

Could you give a synopsis of the story?

Going to California or Tangerine if that's the kind of songs you're thinking of.

There are a few ways to go with that kind of scene, particularly at the end; Here are a few ideas off the top of my head:

    Mr. Fantasy, Traffic
    Putting On The Ritz, Taco
Whiter Shade of Pale, Procal Harum
Tears of a Clown, SMokey Robinson
Ahead by a Century, Tragically Hip
    Fake Plastic Trees, Radfiohead
    American Music, Violent Femmes
We're Here For a Good Time, Trooper
And It Stoned Me, Van Morrisson
    All Uncovered, the Watchmen

Yeah, it's a sort of weird story we wrote based on superheroes and movie characters because.. we have to use alot of vocab from the chapter we're on.. based on that stuff. It's also the second part to a movie we did for extra-credit last semester.

I guess I'll post the first 5 minutes of what we have so far.. we haven't filmed some scenes yet that go in th with some shoddy editing because I was rushing to get a "progress report" of sorts in. It's 9 megs (10 megs of space on my host, only) so the quality is pretty bad but it'll do for now. Unless someone knows a host that accepts files bigger than 10 megs, and doesn't suck. Get it here

First movie, guy comes home to wife, looks in the closet and find a guy she's been sleeping with. Chase scenes in spanish ensue, we didn't do all that much besides a couple lines of spanish dialogue. First part ends with both the husband and other guy injured. Second part begins in the hospital, and the husband has a nightmare about the past events. Wakes up to a nurse, who tries to kill him (she's working for someone else) by poisoning him. He drinks some "radioactive" stuff, then knocks it onto the guy who slept with his wife. That stuff makes them superheroes.

Anyways, in a nutshell, the guy who the nurse is working for has the guy's kidnapped and the "superheroes" have to rescue her. The movie ends with the superheroes arrested and being beat up by cops, the wife still tied up, the bad guy dead, his goons injured.. and probably other stuff. So yeah.. most of this is supposed to be comedy, I just want the final scene set to sad music. Because I can.

Any Celine Dion song should qualify....

Everything she sings is absolutely tragic.

    on the dylan tip...

"sugar baby" from love and theft. its the last tune on the album and makes great exit music.

    very slow, moody and sad.

"sugar baby get on down the road, you aint got no brains no how - you went years without me, might as well keep going now"
