Allright, Clutchfans: my TV just died, and I'm in the market for a new one. Criteria are: 1. ~$300 2. 27 in. minimum So looking at that criteria, I'm probably looking for a CRT (not sure I can get an LCD that size for that little). Now, I'm sure everyone is going to say I need to drop $1000+ on the latest 1080p plasma monster. I'd love to, but I can't afford it, and I want to wait until I can afford a really nice rig. So can anyone suggest a good place to get a new TV that will hold me off for a year or two?
I have a 27in flat screen (not panel) Daewoo from 2003 sitting in an empty house that I would let go for like 100. If its worth that much.
I remember someone trying to give away a 36 inch TV in the classified section as long as you picked it up yourself, don't know if someone already got it. those things are as heavy as a tank though.
I tried shopping for a regular TV for my kid's room awhile back . At all of the places I went to they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for something other than a flat screen . I ended up getting a Toshiba 23 inch lcd for 650.00 . Its a pretty nice TV, and it has a built in DVD player . It will do for a 5 year old to watch cartoons, and play Wii on .
get what you can afford...CRT's are fine if you don't have a blu-ray player,etc...look at craigslist but otherwise go to Walmart http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9856472 (I may have this one upstairs in my kids room) or http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9188630
actually that's a great idea. there are tons of HD-ready and HD-CRTs, HD-Rear Projections going for cheap. for $300 bucks you can find yourself one. http://houston.craigslist.org/ele/730278956.html http://houston.craigslist.org/ele/725405941.html http://houston.craigslist.org/ele/730008557.html http://houston.craigslist.org/ele/691341808.html http://houston.craigslist.org/ele/679388830.html http://houston.craigslist.org/ele/729514953.html
