Miami was able to hold off Boston College on Saturday, but couldn't hold onto its No. 1 ranking in the latest USA Today/ESPN coaches' poll released Sunday.

Nebraska (11-0), the top-ranked team in the Bowl Championship Series standings, hurdled Miami with 30 first-place votes, 12 more than last week, and 1,469 points.

The Hurricanes lost 11 first-place votes from 41 to 30 and fell 10 points behind Nebraska.

In The Associated Press Top 25 writers' poll, Miami (8-0) remained No. 1 -- albeit a shaky No. 1. Miami received 44 first-place votes and 1,768 points, with Nebraska collecting the other 28 first-place votes and 1,756 points. Last week, Miami led Nebraska by 36 points.

Oklahoma (9-1), the defending national champions, remained No. 3, followed by No. 4 Florida (8-1), No. 5 Texas (9-1), No. 6 Tennessee (7-1), No. 7 Oregon (9-1), No. 8 BYU (10-0), No. 9 Washington State (9-1) and No. 10 Maryland (9-1).

The Cornhuskers last game is at Colorado which is always a tough game......should be very exciting.
