NE at Colts Week 8 GAME OF THE CENTURY (MILLENIUM) Colts already won and I am sure NE will be the winner (leading 38-0 now). So this setup the game of the century next week with Colts 7-0 and NE 8-0. I am sure NE will be favored, but don't count out the colts just yet. Anyone have a guess to the line next week? Going with my heart I will pick colts 38-35.
That's what most people thinks, but Indy is not exactly easy to beat at home. I hope this is another USC or Michigan repeat.
I'm sorry, but NEW ENGLAND hasn't had a decent team to beat yet, not even the Cowgirls... the COLTS extend the lead over everyone's playoff hopes and beat the Pats by 13. That's my pick. Just take a look at what I posted back n the "Will Tom Brady break the TD record" thread in regards to previous opposition...
NE is a better team but it's hard to call this game right now. What's amazing to me is the Redskins played very hard and inspired in the 1st half (except for Jason Campbell) and they are still down 24-0. Their defense is laying the wood but they just can't stop NE's offense. The Pats remind me of the Phoenix Suns in that they are tailor-made to blow out weaker teams. Their offense is amazing. But against a team like the Colts I can definitely see the Pats losing. I betcha they don't score on their opening drive (for the first time this season).
I don't think this is the game of century................. I think both have really great teams, but I don't think it will be a cake walk to AFC championship game for either team. Both Colts and Pats have looked unbeatable at times, during the season, but I believe that have some legitimate challenges in the AFC ahead. In fact, I believe both teams actually match-up well with one another, I don't believe that's the case with other teams. Indy find tougher time moving the ball against the likes of the Blitzberg and San Diego. And they also have tough time against their own division against the likes of Titans and Jags who could very well go into Indy and win in divisional playoff game. I think N.E. has looked even more unbeatable, but I believe the same teams could very much give them a tough test as well. I believe good running game with a team that can also score points with above average defense could definitely slow down the Pats. As great as N.E. offense has been I don't seem, them running a great defensive team like Steelers or Titans up and down the field with 35 + game. I think those team can take away certain things, because those so good up front and have pretty good pass defenses. I am gonna go out on limb and say I won't be shocked, if both Indy and the Pats are not in the Super Bowl and beaten by what most would call now lesser teams.
Those in Houston won't get to see it, MAJOR LET DOWN, and just in case anybody tries the "Get Sunday Ticket Package" on me, I already said it.
Phoenix doesn't play defense. The Patriots play great defense. I think they can lose but I just can't find too many weaknesses, especially now that Maroney is back.
Dungy introduced that defense about 10 years ago and his philosophy has always been "bend but don't break". They will (attempt to) shut down NE's running game, not give up the long stuff and then knock the snot out of NE's receivers every time they catch the ball. Look for Welker to have a big game and Moss to be limited. The Red Zone results will determine the game. If Manning doesn't throw interceptions I think the Colts probably win.
