I know there is a chance he could be a bust, but man he was throwing people around in college. Just to make this texans relevant, would you trade williams for suh? Or What do you think it would cost to get him?
Why trade a sure thing for a NFL unknown? Suh does look very dominating though and I think he'll be an excellent NFL player.
i wouldnt trade williams for suh but i would trade up for him... williams has proven not to be a bust as for suh we just dont know yet
I've been watching him all season in college and he's a beast. He was throwing around McCoy in the big 12 game like he was a doll. Not sure how he will fare in the NFL against guys just as athletic as he is, so for now, no. Mario is already good at what he does. If anything we, need to trade for someone to start opposite of him.
I'd do what I could to put Suh next to Williams. The idea is to have more than 1 talented player on the line.
LOL. Mario Williams might be the most valuable athlete in Houston sports right now since Yao's return is in question. I don't see Andre Johnson fetching a top 3 draft pick. Williams... I could see it.
I thought the same thing. Suh will go within the top 3 picks. The Texans have zero chance of getting him.
What is he like 6'4 300#? Imagine having a Chris Myers sized guy as your DT. I'm sure he'll do worlds better than Myers at center though. Maybe he won't do so hot at the combine and drop to a tradeable area.
Isn't he slotted to be the #1 pick this year? I'm sure it'd take a lot of trade chips to crack any of the top 3 picks this year, I doubt he'd slide farther than the 3rd pick in the draft.
I would deal this and next year's #1 - PLUS a combo of 2's and 3's ......... Agreed, play him next to Mario with Cowher as the coach.
Lot of value at the DT position with two franchise DT's available in Gerald McCoy and Ndamukong Suh, and a solid run stuffer in Mount Cody. That makes KC's reach for Tyson Jackson at #3 last year even more idiotic. I guess he's an end in a 3-4, but no way did he deserve to be drafted that high. Between him, Glen Dorsey and Dwayne Bowe, KC's been striking out on the LSU guys in the 1st round. That said, Houston has a mid-1st rounder this year, and would be wise to address the secondary. If a ballhawk like Earl Thomas is on the board, they should jump on it. CJ Spiller might not be a bad option either since Houston seems to lack depth in the backfield.
I had a dream we traded AJ to the Rams for their 2010 (Suh) and 2011 first-round picks, CB Ronald Bartell, and RB Chris Ogbonnaya... I need to lay off the crack.
