Well since we are starting threads on games that were already played, I'm glad Texas didn't have to face Troy Smith the whole game. Looks like Ohio St was a bit underrated and ND a bit overrated.
ND's best win, besides the moral victory over USC, is a 5 loss Michigan. With another close defeat of only 14 pts, ND should move up the polls as usual.
How so? P.S....I was, and am, already confident in UT's chances tomorrow night, even before the Fiesta Bowl.
First of all, the OSU team UT faced at the beginning of the season had no starting QB. In addition, this sort of stuff doesn't work that way. Last year, Oklahoma beat Texas Tech, which clobbered Cal in the Holiday Bowl, which barely lost to USC, which blew out OU....
The UT/USC game has no bearing on the outcome of this game. UT played a weaker Buckeye team because our starting QB was not even the starter for that game. UT should beat USC, though. The game was great, though. I honestly thought ND would be too good, I fell for the hype. I loved when Hawk knocked out Quinn. Classic Buckeye Asswhoping.
Yeah, different OSU team out there. Worlds better on offense...truth be told, It'd be a tough game for anyone right now(Including USC). The defense, however, did not look as stout. The unheralded ND line took care of the rush for most of the game. Also, Bobby Carpenter didn't play.
Anyone else get annoyed with ABC constantly showing Laura Quinn throughout the game? I thought it was getting really ridiculous towards the end. It was like - big play for Hawk- let's show her. Big play for Quinn let's pull her out of the stands and interview her.
