Who all is making the trip out there? What is your predicition?

I personally think UH matches up well with Maryland and can win the first round.

    Thoughts?

can we move this to the college section of the forum?

It's going to be a battle of the guards... both teams are very strong in the back court and weak in the front court. The big freshman Williams at Maryland has done well in recent games.

Going to depend on if Houston finds enough defense to stop Vasquez.

Maryland's won 13 out of their last 16 games, and they have one of the most gifted, experienced players in the nation in Greivis Vasquez.

Houston will play the Terps close in the first 10 minutes of the game, but they don't have the horses to hang with one of the ACC's best.

    72-61 Maryland.

Can't see us winning this game without divine intervention.

Am I the only one that thinks UH could have drawn the Los Angeles Lakers and OP would have thought the Coogs matched up well?

If Lewis, Z and Mo McNeil play like they played against UTEP, and we get a more typical Aubrey performance then it's a close game. We would still need solid play out of the other DWade (i.e not getting posted up too much by Maryland guards), and Washington to give us some kind of presence inside when McNeil is on the bench to even have a shot at winning.

I gotta think we need something weird and unexpected to happen, Terrapin overconfidence...Van Slyke 4 for 4 from distance....something like that.

Dropped 41 on Duke a few weeks ago. Most mock drafts have him going in the 2nd rd.

It's not that, it's just I thought we would have been a 14th seeding going against someone like Baylor who we would not match up with at all. At least Maryland has strong guards and decent bigs. UH has 2 good guards and I feel like it could have been much worse for UH.

Why the heck is the game not on yet?! Is it going to be on CBS or somewhere else? I am watching CBS now and they have the Vermont/Syracuse game on

My tv guide thing on Comcast said the game would start at 8:30....

...checked the ESPN site, and it says 9:36 CT CBS...so it should switch over soon I think.

I first saw it scheduled for 8:40, then saw it this afternoon that it got pushed back to 9:00. I guess Mich St/NM St went long because it's now scheduled to start at 9:35.
