So is having the four number 1 seeds a good thing or a bad thing? Personally, I predicted it in my pool (though I am still going to lose.. thanks to Davidson), but I am disappointed that there really isn't an underdog to root for.
I think that means the selection committee nailed it this year. In the pool I run, only 2 got all 4. I think we're going to see 3 of the best college games in recent history be played in San Antonio. Yeah, there's no underdog to root for. But I think having the best 4 teams is the best case scenario. This is going to be a great Final 4...if not the best ever.
I can't think of them as an underdog, though they are the only team left I can root for. I can't root for UNC or UCLA (UCLA already has too many banners and UNC is perilously close to catching UK for the most total wins) Kansas well... I just can't root for a team that's mascot is a Jayhawk... we cats eat birds for dinner. So the Memphis Tigers it is. I agree they should be some exciting games. There were 5 people in our pool that chose all for number 1 seeds.
Can anybody believe this? I have won my local NCAA pool (35 people) no matter who does what in the Final Four. Sweet.
Memphis is going to beat UCLA as I expected (and wanted). UNC should beat KU. The championship game could be a great one.
UNC vs. Memphis should be the matchup everyone wants to see (except Kansas/UCLA fans). Two teams that love to go up and down - it'd be a great championship game. Now let's hope UNC takes care of business tonight!
Does Douglas-Roberts remind anyone else of Alex English? This guy could be very, very good in the pros. Not kidding.
Umm, you do realize that Kansas is one of the fastest teams in the country and goes up and down every bit as much as those teams, right?
Actually, I don't know anything about Kansas - but from the looks of it, you're right. I still stand by my statement though
I had Louisville, Wisconsin, Memphis and UCLA in Final 4... but I had memphis winning it all. go Memphis
this is the worst broadcast on the face of the earth. NCAA has to give the t.v. contract to someone else, this is by far the worst broadcast during a tournament.
This really wasn't that difficult to see coming. Both of these teams are very athletic and thrive in transition, but Kansas is much more disciplined defensively with its ball pressure and they're also tougher and slightly more athletic around the basket. I can't stand these guys, but it would be an upset if they lose to either UNC or Memphis, imo. No disrespect intended -- as I said, I'd really love if the Tar Heels won this. I'm just having a hard time seeing it. Hope I'm wrong.
