james white and rodney carney have the sickest hops ever. james white dunked from the free throw(foot on the line) line two handed while pumping the ball all the way back behind his head. he's sick. if he only could play basketball, he'd be a great second round pick.
I got to watch both of my current 1st and 2nd round picks perform tonight. 1st round - Carney 2nd round - Novak Mind you, I change my mind frequently, but both of these players are skilled and could contribute immediately.
<-eagerly awaiting the posting of the james white highlights. please hook a brotha up. in the meantime while we're fiendin for the main course, let's have some old clips as appetizers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrI-SEyvfvM&search=james white http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xtYzHrxS5s&search=james white http://www.youtube.com/watch?search=james+white&v=kPGahzRqXRs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzeAcPik4_s&search=james white
okay here's one where mr. white gets up so high, it almost looks like he's looking down into the rim in the last replay in the clip. my head tells me, he really isn't, but it's about the closest i've seen to someone actually doing it: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ICX7q1ejEns oh man i'm so excited! please post the new clips from tonight's event as soon as possible! thanks! *giggle*
You can Youtube James white and find him actually making that freethrow line dunk where he goes between the legs.
James White is a candidate with our 2nd round pick. He can jump and is supposed to be a good defender.
just finished watching a torrent of the contest. there is no question, james white was the highest flyer and best dunker in the contest. in those terms, it wasn't even that close. jaw dropping leaping ability. david noel won purely by default. white was a victim of bad luck (from missing his first attempt at the between-the-legs-ft-line dunk) and the 30-second time limit to make a dunk. i don't think there's any doubt he would have completed that dunk if he had enough time to make another attempt, and it woulda been one of the G.O.A.T. dunks. i understand the rationale for the time limit (gee thanks, chris andersen ), but in this case, it bit ESPN in the ass and got in the way of a history making dunk. booo.
novak couldnt miss in 3-point competition. i stayed up fighting the eyes watching him stroke it from downtown and let me say, he made it look way too easy. you can say im all in favor of the rockets getting this guy. dont care about anything else with him...if you watched, im sure you were amazed. would of been interesting to see redick, morrison, or any others to compete in it though
good clip of the whole contest http://youtube.com/watch?v=UwxA-pHhVwI i have to admit, that was one of the best dunk contest i've seen in awhile...pro or college.... if they were doing this at the NBA All Star Weekend, it would be so rowdy and hyped.....i really think the NBA should go back to the old format, unlimited time, 2 dunks per round and 1 replacement....
I think picking James White in the middle of the second round, with the hope that you can put some weight on him(and maybe improve his jump shot) wouldn't be a bad idea. He is a very good defender with the height and length to give people like Kobe some trouble, as long as he puts some weight on. Low risk, medium reward pick, you pick him hoping he can be as effective as marquis daniels.
not worth it to see the whole thing...everyone else shot decent. what was the average for everyone else...maybe like 13 or so. novak shot 20s the whole time i believe.
