credit to "Gene the Pig" and "JusBleezy" for the scoop. I felt this was significant enough to begin a new thread now that a legitimate source has mentioned we are interested.
Artest would be huge for us. I don't care if we don't have a point guard or a 4. The guy is an absolute wrecking crew defensively and can score. I love Head as much as the next guy, but if he and Stromile are the price for Artest, it's a no brainer.
My thoughts exactly. You don't pass up on top 10 talent especially when he makes less than Kelvin Cato.
I'll cut them off you and I'll box it with a nice bow and hand it to Larry B. myself if thats what it took to get artest
agree. i would also throw in a first round pick if I had to. Yao, T-mac and Artest. Now thats a legit "Big 3" combo.
You guys are forgetting why Artest wants to be traded. Doesn't want part of a structured offense and wants more leverage offensively. He'll clash with JVG in a week and I can't see him passing the ball to Yao. JVG: "No Knuckleheads". This is about a lot more than talent.
since when is artest a top 10 talent? 1. shaq. 2. kobe 3. lebron 4. duncan 5. garnett 6. mcgrady 7. iverson 8. lebron 9. brand 10. stoudamire and yes that list is the final list. no further questions.
Won't happen, but it's a nice thought. If I'm wrong, I'd gladly be a clutch classic moment, but I'd give it a less than 0.000002% chance.
Whether or not we have enough to offer is questionable, but there is no doubt that Van Gundy would be interested. While working for TNT during the All-Star game, after Artest's tv punching incident, Van Gundy remarked that he "would take 12 Ron Artests on his team any day." And I think it's a no brainer that you chance on this guy if you have enough to offer. Adding him to this lineup changes the entire complexity of the league.
haha...nice job on catching that!! /i too point my finger and laugh at whoever made that top 10 list. //i mean the list is good, but 2 brons, ok.
