I was not talking about the number ranking itself (even thought he should be higher). I was instead talking about the comment they made about Mobley being an under-sized off guard who shoots at a sub-40% clip.

He is ranked above Mercer who was a lottery pick, not bad!! Way to go Rudy and Cat!

Actually, no it isn't. Mobley is way more sought after than Glen Rice or Toni Kukoc. But check out this quote they made about Mobley.

I don't know, but the last time I checked, Allen Iverson, the top SG in the game, is 6'0 and shot 42% geniuses.

but iverson also puts up 30 ppg. mobley meanwhile jacks up three pointers at the end of quarters for no apparent reason. that said, i think mobley should go higher, but hey, it's good for us if he's not that high.. hopefully he'll see what houston offers and decide to stay.

Have you ever seen Iverson play? Mobley doesn't "jack up" half the shots that Iverson does. If Mobley took the amount of shots Iverson did, he'd probably score that much too.

No I'm not. Are you stupid or something? I just called Iverson the best SG in the game, including over Kobe, and he certainly didn't get there with defense. Of course I don't think that.

Kobe is much better than Iverson. Iverson is not the best sg in the nba.

You said if Mobley took as many shots as Iverson he would score just as much. Isn't that saying he's as good as Iverson offensively. BTW I was just asking a simple question no need for name calling.

I agree, Francis3. Iverson plays without another offensive threat. Could you IMAGINE how much Kobe Bryant would score without Shaq? He also is a better pure shooter... an a MUCH better defender... oh yes, and did I mention less selfish?

That's alright, I just got a little pissed off at you for saying that. There is more to offense than simply the amount of points you put in the basket. There are a number of SGs that could put up Iverson like numbers if they put up that many shots. But that is not all offense is about. You have to learn how to coexist taking all of those shots with passing the ball, dribbling, and getting your teammates involved. There are a number of players that could score like Iverson if given that many shots. But they would have a very negative aspect on their team because there would be no team play. Iverson is a special talent who can combine taking the shots he does and getting his team involved. Most other players can't.

Also, I have a question for you. If Mobley averaged 26 shots a game like Iverson does, don't you think he could score 28 points a game? Just food for thought here.

If Iverson was 6'6, he'd be the best player in the league.

Kobe is better. I hate saying that though.

Mobley doesn't have the height to compete with Kobe nor the speed to handle Iverson. Those two guys are superstars, Mobley at best could become an all-star.

Cat- I think if defenses were geared to stop Cuttino like they are to Iverson, I really don't see Mobley averaging 28 points even if he did take 26 shots a game.

"Could you IMAGINE how much Kobe Bryant would score without Shaq?"

Well, considering Shaq requires a minimum of 2 defenders, and defenses are not focusing on Bryant as a result, I'd say Bryant's numbers would go down if Shaq wasn't there, not up.
