that is right i do notice the clippers fans and the warriors fans arent close to not having any people, infact i think there a few hundred away from a sellout every night i think
It's strange about the NBA that great attendance numbers are usually region specific. The Pacific West and North East, being far and the way the best. Far West: Clippers, Lakers, Kings, Warriors, Jazz, Trailblazers, and Supersonics (formerly)...teams have had long stretches of great attendance, even when the teams are not performing well. East: Knicks, 76ers, Celtics, Pistons, and Bulls all receiving above average to great attendance numbers. The teams in south and mid-west...dreadful.
Rockets have the most unloyal fans, I have seen. No attendance in the lower bowls yet sold out ?? Fans leaving during the game, even 5 or 6 minutes before the end ?? No energy to show your support to the Rockets ?? Need a freaking party team, Red Rowdies, to make some noise, which they are doing very poor at the moment ??
Iv'e seen alot of people complain about the lowerbowl seats. I'm guessing it's corporates buying the seats and not showing up.
it is the predominate reason why Angelenos attend Clipper game the tickets are cheaper and easier to get Angelenos attend Clips game to watch the NBA talents from the visiting team, like LBJ, CP3, Carmelo, DHoward. In LA, you'd find that there are more Boston Celtic fan clubs than you do Clippers fan club. in fact, one would be hard-pressed to find a Clippers fan club in Los Angels. I bet the WSJ writer, who wrote this article, didn't know that.
