    Hi guys,

I just played the demo version of nba2k8 for xbox 360 and I have to say that despite the beautiful graphics, the game doesn't seem to be as fluid as older versions such as 2k6. I spent the last year playing 2k6 and it was a really great game. The 2k8 demo I played feels much more slow-paced than 2k6, I felt it was much more difficult to run fast breaks, and the control of the players felt pretty sluggish.

I truly hope that the full version isn't gonna be like the demo version, so has anyone got it? And if you have, how would you compare it with 2k6?

    Thanks a lot.

I've read a lot of impressions on Operations Sports and the prevailant sentiment is that the retail version blows away the demo in every way. They say the graphics are much improved, plays much more fluidily and you can use all the off-ball offensive controls and plays they took out in the demo which, based on all the comments, REALLY are great additions.

The only drawbacks I've read are that, on higher levels, there isn't a whole lot of fastbreaks and that all the PGs seems to have a real knack of throwing perfect flashy passes inside for layups. Both seems to me easily remedied though be sliders tweaks.

But, I can't tell you how many people I have read say that this is, not only the greatest bball game, but maybe the best sports game ever.

I plan on picking mine up this morning, so I'll try to give some impressions and see if I feel the same way.

by the way, would you know how much it costs to get the full version of the arcade game of Street Fighers II?

    Thanks a lot.

They are remaking SF2 at 1080p HD quality available for download soon. You might want to wait on that...

Played my first game on default difficulty and it's pretty damn good.

Played as the Rockets vs. T'Wolves. Close game throughout with them having a slim lead most of the way until I made a huge run at the start of the 4th. Won 92-83. Yao had 27/10/1 and player of the game, TMac had 28 pts.

Hard to give a full judgement because I was little confused trying to figure out all the new movements and offensive controls/plays. So, that took away a little of the enjoyment because I was too focused trying to run a decent offensive set. :D

MUCH improved over the demo and it makes 2K7 laughable IMO.

The player highlights after the game are SWEEEEEETTT!!!! You can select any player who played and it shows you their top plays (some have more than others). They also have a Top 3 Plays video. Francis driving around a Yao pick and dunking in the 2nd qtr was the top play.

Screw this, I'm going back to play.

I will be forced to buy this game just for the simple fact that a co-worker probably wont shut up about it! :D

If someone has it available to buy on the weekend, thats when I will have some impressions. I wasnt a big fan of the game last year so I hope its much improved. The demo was a start...

    LOL!!!

    Hey, it's all justified.

Trust me, this game is UNREAL!!!

Just played another game. Bumped it up to All-star and tweaked some sliders. Took the Rockets to Washington. Best game of basketball Ive seen on any game, and I lost by 1 (101-100). Was down by 12 late in the 3rd and made a comeback, TMac stole the ball with 10 secs left down by 2, tried to go strong all the way and dunk it for the tie but got hammered. TMac missed the first FT and I wasnt thinking and made the second. I was litterally sweating out the last minute of the game. :D

    AWESOME game!!!

Great, great game. Once you master the new controls, the game becomes alot smoother and better. VSpan is in the game! As a free agent though...

my roommate just pump faked antoine wlaker's fat ass into the air with tmac, who then ensued dribbling down the baseline his left hand before rising up at the box, throwing the ball behind his back into his right hand and cocking it back while shaq's head rises into tmac's nuts, and then tmac throws it down and shaq is blurry. Followed by roommate screaming out "O MY GOD!" and waking up the other roommate.
