Okay I just picked up my copy. All I can say is for the Rockets here is the roster: Franchise Cat Rice MoT Cato EG KT Tmo Collier Mooch Boki Walt --> why is he on the roster? Anyways XBOX live launches Nov 2002, so you will be able to download actual rosters. Hopefully by then Yao Ming will be on the Rockets roster. Rockets ratings are weak Franchise 86 EG 73
damn that's weak, 86 for steve? last year he was what 89 or 90? are the ratings lower across the board or did he get screwed?
Observations: I've played a game with the Rockets v. Pacers. Griffin is a GREAT rebounder. Nachbar can really drive to the hoop - With the added crossover and new move controls. The gameplay is fluid. The only annoying thing is the default camera - the goal is in the way when the screen changes.
The ratings are lower across the board for the Rockets. If you look at the Lakers, Shaq= 93 and Kobe =96
how deep is the franchise mode? FA's Rookies Trade picks? who ever has the bette Franchise mode will be the game i buy im talking about nba2k3 and live of course
so does the new crossover thing make the game worth playing? is it still just dunking and players on ice skates? anyways the graphics look really nice, especially the rockets in the old school jerseys. i'll have to rent it but it had alot of work to do from last year before it's as good as 2k. but if it's back to form that'd be great.
Just picked up my copy. As for ratings, they seem lower across the board. But here's something I've been waiting for them to put in forever: YOU CAN NOW EDIT PLAYER RATINGS! YAY! However, there is one thing that I'm REALLY pissed off about: you cannot trade the legends onto other teams, or use them in franchise mode. For me, that's really disheartening. On NBA2k2 for the Dreamcast, I would do fantasy drafts with all the players + the legends, and get teams like Maravich, Christie, Mullin, Bird, and Chamberlain. That was a blast, and now you can't do it. WHY NOT? Also, you still can't customize a created player's weight. Huh? How do I make Sir Charles? Impossible, now. He ends up being like 220 pounds, making him effectively worthless. It seems like a good game, but I need to get used to the controls before I make a judgement on the gameplay. By the way, there are THREE different versions of Olajuwon: the one on the Raptors, the 80's version, and the 90's version. Sweet!
No, he isn't, but there is an option on the PS2 (and I would assume XBOX) for an online roster update. I would assume that he would be downloaded with this. I wonder if stats and injuries would be updated this way as well?
Does this game have Westside TC as one of the "street" courts? (like last year's had the fonde rec center)
Does anyone know when blockbusters will be getting this game. I don't have enough money to buy it yet and just want to rent it.
I don't know about other video game rentals, but most of the time the place I go to gets the newer games out around the weekend, maybe sooner. I can't really remember. I think this game may come out on Friday at my video game place.
Too bad you cannot put the 80s or 90s Hakeem on the Rockets. Which makes NBA 2k3 absolutely worthless.
